Samsung finally started pushing their new major OS update, One UI 4.1 for the Galaxy M51 based on Android 12. The update is now started rolling around the globe.

As per some reports, it is said to be rolling with build number M515FXXU4DVE1 for users around the globe. With this, Samsung has included the latest March 2022 Security patch, which fixes many security bugs and vulnerabilities.

Samsung Galaxy M51 Specifications

Samsung is a pioneer in displays, and they are not holding back with the M51 either. We get a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity O display with an aspect ratio of 20:9. The selfie camera is housed in a small center punch hole at the top. The peak brightness is a bit low, though, at just 420 nits. And we only get the dated Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection in the front. Under the hood, we get the capable Snapdragon 730G, which is a bit old but still a competent processor. It can handle most games and heavy-duty tasks easily.

With the Samsung Galaxy M51, we also get Android 10 onboard running on top of One UI 2.1. And we get two RAM options with this device, a 6GB base variant, and an 8GB upper variant. The internal storage remains the same at 128GB. In terms of optics, we get a quad-core setup at the back with a 64MP Sony primary sensor, a 12MP ultra wide-angle sensor, a 5MP depth sensor, and a 5MP macro sensor. On the front, we get a 32MP selfie shooter. The front camera support 4K video recording along with Front Slow Motion Video, AR Doodle, and AR Emoji.

The Galaxy M51 is not a 5G compatible device, and you get only 4G(LTE) here along with the other basic connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. You don’t get the modern In-display fingerprint sensor, though. Instead, you get a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

One UI 4.1 Upgrade and Features

Of course, the Samsung Galaxy M51 came out of the box with Android 10 and later received the Android 11 update. According to Samsung’s recent policy change, their device will get three years of major OS support and four years of a security patch update. As promised, finally Samsung started rolling their One UI 4.1 update to their flagship and feature-rich smartphone.

One UI 4.1, which is based on Android 12 brings an entirely new UI design with a simplified color palette feature and the game-changer Android 12’s material YOU design that lets users significantly personalize the look and feel of the UI. The dark mode is now been expanded to all app icons and the camera UI adds ease to use and is better than the last version.
