Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 Device Overview:
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 features one 7.6 inches Foldable Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel and a 6.2 inches Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with both running at a 120 Hz refresh rate. The first unfolded panel has a resolution of 1812 x 2176 pixels, and the second folded panel has a resolution of 904 x 2316 pixels.
Under the hood, we get the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor built on a 4nm manufacturing process. It is an octa-core processor with one Cortex-X2 core clocked at 3.19 GHz, three Cortex-A710 cores clocked at 2.75 GHz, and four Cortex-A510 cores clocked at 1.80 GHz. For handling the graphics-intensive tasks, we have the Adreno 730. The smartphone comes with Android 12L out of the box with One UI 4.1.1 skin running on top.
In optics, we get a triple camera setup at the rear and two selfie cameras. The rear camera setup consists of a 50 MP primary sensor paired with an f/1.8 lens, a 10 MP telephoto sensor paired with an f/2.4 lens, and a 12 MP ultrawide sensor paired with an f/2.2 lens. One selfie camera at the front is a 4 MP under-display sensor paired with an f/1.8 lens, and the other one is the cover camera which is a 10MP sensor paired with an f/2.2 lens. Both the front and rear camera systems can capture 4K videos.
The smartphone comes with three storage options: 256GB internal storage + 12GB RAM, 512GB internal storage + 12GB RAM, and 1TB internal storage + 12GB RAM. We do not get any microSD slots for storage expansion. In terms of communications, we get Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6e, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C 3.2. And for sensors, we get a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, and barometer. Powering it all is a 4400 mAh battery that can be topped up quickly using a 25W power adapter which is not included in the box.
