Vivo launched the Vivo X50 series last month in India on the 2nd of June. Vivo X50 Pro is a top-end model of the X50 Series. This phone’s built-in gimbal is truly innovative and acts as a stabilizer for the main camera. The device came out of the box with Android 10 and was later upgraded to Android 11.

Finally, Today Vivo started pushing their new major OS update, Funtouch OS 12 for the Vivo X50 Pro based on Android 12. The update is now started rolling around the globe.

As per some reports, it is said to be rolling with build number PD2005F_EX_A_8.83.7 for users globally and will soon reach other users around the globe. With this, Vivo has included the latest April / May 2022 Security patch which fixes many security bugs and vulnerabilities.

Vivo X50 Pro Device Overview:

The phone comes with a 6.56-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080×2376 pixels at a pixel density of 398 pixels per inch (ppi) and an aspect ratio of 19.8:9. This panel features a 90Hz refresh rate which made the UI feel smooth. The punch-hole camera to the upper corner is among the smaller cut-outs.

The device is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC to power the Vivo X50 Pro. This processor is capable of 5G connectivity. The X50 Pro is that the first smartphone with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G 5G SoC in India. it’s 8GB of RAM and only a 256GB storage configuration has been launched in India.

Coming to the cameras, Vivo X50 Pro features a Quad camera setup on the rear that has a primary 48 Megapixel Sony IMX598 sensor paired with an 8 Megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, an 8 Megapixel periscope camera, and a 13 Megapixel 2X Telephoto camera. there’s one 32 Megapixel camera for selfies.

As for that gimbal camera, modern-day flagship smartphones mostly believe EIS (electronic image stabilization), a software feature that uses digital cropping to eliminate jerky movements from handheld video shooting. Because the X50 Pro’s camera is made on a gimbal that already takes under consideration shakiness and movement, it tones down the appliance of EIS, rather than counting on OIS (optical image stabilization).

Connectivity options on the Vivo X50 Pro include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/Yes, GPS, Bluetooth v5.10, USB Type-C, 3G, and 4G with active 4G on both SIM cards. Sensors on the phone include an ambient light sensor, compass/ magnetometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and in-display fingerprint sensor. The Vivo X50 Pro supports face unlock.
