Duck Dynasty’s John Luke Robertson and his wife just welcomed to world their first baby - and it’s a boy! The young parents are over the moon about their newest addition and are looking forward to all the adventures that are to be had.
The TV personality proposed to his wife to be in October of 2014 on what was her 19th birthday. Even though the couple married at a very young age, John Luke knew that it was the right decision as his parents, Willie and Korie Robertson, had also married young and had a successful marriage. The family show was centered around the fact that the family loves to duck hunt and made a living out of selling duck callers.
The reality star and his wife, Mary Kate Robertson, welcomed their first child on Monday, October 14, as reported by Us Weekly. The happy couple announced that they had a baby boy whom they named John Shepherd. In the baby’s first photoshoot, he sported a sweater with his name embroidered on it. Instagram was abuzz when the two A&E stars uploaded photos of themselves smiling with their newborn. In one photo, Mary Kate wrote to fans that their bundle of joy decided to surprise them ten days early and that they were absolutely in love. John Luke shared a classic black and white photo of John Shepherd smiling up at his new parents. The Duck Dynasty alum announced back in May that they were expecting in a social media photo. In the picture, John Luke held a sonogram and showed off his pregnant wife’s baby bump.
The Duck Dynasty alum’s wife, Mary Kate, also shared a similar photo with the purpose of thanking all her followers and fans who took the time to wish them positive thoughts and congratulations. The couple said that they had felt so loved since the moment that they had found out they were going to be parents. Back in June, the couple had a very creative maternity shoot, even choosing to recreate an old photo of Robertson’s parents. The reality TV couple married on the family farm in Louisiana in 2015.
Fans are more than happy to hear of the couple’s exciting news and wish them nothing but the best. The family’s company Duck Commanders is still up and running even though the show ended back in 2017. The Robertson family was overjoyed to hear of the newest addition to their family - who they’ll no doubt be able to teach how to hunt soon enough.
