Winner of this years’ Dancing with the Stars alongside his partner Hannah Brown, Alan Bersten revealed that he cuddles with his Mirror Ball trophy at night before going to sleep. The zealous dancer has had nothing but great things to say about his experience on the ABC dance competition show.

Dancing With the Stars’ season 28 was one for the history books as the contestants strutted their stuff and fame under the bright lights of center stage. This year’s list consisted of The Supremes’ Mary Wilson, Karamo Brown from Queer Eye, model Christie Brinkley, singer Lauren Alaina, Ray Lewis, pop star Ally Brooke, NBA player Lamar Odom, and Sean Spicer. The season got off to a rocky start with a couple of serious injury’s which included Christie Brinkley being replaced by her daughter and severe controversy surrounding the casting of Spicer.

Pro dancer, Bersten still can not believe that he won the Mirrorball trophy with his celebrity partner Hannah Brown. Throughout the entirety of Season 28, the dancer blogged about his experience on the show from being matched up with his dance partner to the very last episode where he won the whole competition. According to ET the last blog entry the professional shared was how he would like to stay in touch with Brown. He even jokingly told his readers that he sleeps with the trophy at night.

The couple had worked very hard throughout the season to make their dream of winning a reality. Even though Bersten has had some time off to process their journey he still can not believe that he came out on top. In the interview, he made sure to thank his supporters and family and noted that he was given an amazing opportunity to show off his talents. The professional dancer gave a shout out to his Dancing With the Stars partner telling her that he was thankful that she always did her best and never gave up.

For Bersten being up on the dance stage felt like home the entire season and he still can not form words for how it made him feel. He joked that he felt as if it was all a dream and admitted that he and Brown were very lucky that they could be a part of such an amazing moment. Even though fans may be sad that the season has now ended they can look forward to Dancing With the Stars - Live Tour 2020 that will start in January. Fans of the show can go see their favorite dance partners live on stage and watch as they recreate their special dances.
